UniFormation S10: Kickstarter Launch for Print-Wash-Dry Resin System

1 min read

UniFormation’s S10 Kickstarter was active with October 22 updates. The 16K resin system integrates printing, washing and drying, but final UV curing is not automated.

The workflow is the innovation

The S10 is more than another high-resolution resin printer. Its integrated mechanism moves the build platform through washing and drying after printing, aiming to reduce manual resin handling and the need to transfer wet prints to a separate wash station. The printing engine uses a 16K LCD.

What the Kickstarter says

The project’s FAQ, updated October 22, describes two wash cycles followed by warm-air drying. UniFormation advertised a $999 crowdfunding pledge and an effective $899 VIP offer subject to separate conditions. The estimated shipping window is March–April 2027, not a guaranteed delivery date.

What automation does not cover

The S10 does not automatically perform final UV curing, and supports still need to be removed. Resin and solvent vapors mean ventilation remains necessary. The added motion and washing hardware also introduces maintenance questions that independent long-term testing must answer. A Kickstarter pledge is not the same as buying a stocked retail product.

Commodore 64 Ultimate Returns: A Retro Legend, Not a 3D-Printed One

Commodore.net has officially relaunched its legendary home computer as the Commodore 64 Ultimate, rebuilding the classic machine on modern FPGA hardware. We cover it here as a curiosity: it has no direct 3D printing angle, since the case is produced with classic injection molding using the original 1986 tooling, not 3D printing.

Bambu Lab: construction advances on a planned 3-million-printer Shenzhen hub

Bambu Lab is taking a major step toward building one of the world's largest 3D printer manufacturing bases. Its planned “3D Printing Intelligent Manufacturing Headquarters Base” in Shenzhen's Guangming District has moved into site-preparation and construction-access work. The complex is designed for an annual capacity of more than 3 million 3D printers and will combine manufacturing with research and development, component production and materials-related activities.
